An Ordered Fall

Oct 07, 2021

It’s October, and Autumn is upon us. The stores have proclaimed the start of the holiday season.

I don’t know about you, but I always get a burst of energy in the fall. After the long hot days of August (and even some in September), the weather cools down and I start to spend more time indoors.

Some people say that the beginning of fall is like the beginning of a new year. There are only 3 months left to the year, so goals are re-set. It’s the beginning of the school year for a lot of kids, which means new supplies and new things to learn.

Fall for me includes quite a bit of organization. The yard needs to be cleaned out and prepared for the winter. Inside the house, I do another big “spring cleaning” in the fall, and my house is ready (or at least ready-er) for any guests that come by. Within myself, I take another look at the goals I set for myself way back in January. I assess how much I’ve accomplished, how much is still in progress, and what has changed over time. The cool weather encourages me to go within and get things done.

How about you? Is fall invigorating for you, or do you mourn the end of summer? Do you have special tasks you do in the fall that prepare you for the holidays and another year? Leave a comment!

Until next time, remember… We are all magnificent
